WWF has long supported and encouraged China to take a more active leadership role in post-Kyoto negotiations. WWF has participated in the development of key studies such as Technology Transfer, China Mitigation Scenario, Measurable, Reportable and Verifiable (MRV), and China Trading System.
WWF has also provided the Chinese government with policy recommendations. At the same time, WWF has organized a series of high-level dialogue between governments as well as exchange activities among academia, businesses, NGOs and the media. WWF also took part in the UNFCCC Climate Change Summit, calling on both the public and politicians to push the negotiations in a positive direction.
