WWF-China Annual Report 2010

Posted on 20 May 2011
Thirty years ago the Chinese government invited WWF to be the first international conservation organization to operate in China. During this time, China has risen to become a major player on the global stage. But tremendous change has come at a cost and the country has been faced with many environmental and conservation challenges. Over the past 30 years it has been WWF’s commitment to respond to the “downsides of industrialization” by using our ever-increasing resources and dedicated talents to make a meaningful impact to the country.

This annual report details our numerous accomplishments over the past year including our first-ever nationwide study of rural drinking water safety; our low-carbon city initiatives; and the release of the China Ecological Footprint report.
